Merging Art and Science to Create Water Walls

Technology is now benefiting us in more ways than one. It used to be that technology only enriched our lives on a convenient level; in other words, it only acted as a helpful hand and typically lacked any aesthetic appeal. For the longest time art and science were enemies – just go to a local University and see the clash between the two faculties. The problem was that there was no way to combine the two. The people who liked sciences were too different from the people who liked art so the conclusion was made that to combine the two was impossible. Luckily, times have changed.

The sound of water is very engaging. It engages us on many different levels. For one, we are made of water, water is in us – and water is in the Universe. Without water we don’t exist: simple as that. Perhaps it is for these reasons that many of us travel great distances in search for the perfect ‘oasis’ (oasis being a place where water and other natural elements reach a cohesion that transcends materialistic beauty.) The spot of ‘perfect water’ may be on beautiful lake on top of a private mountain, or it may be an ocean-view house. It is for these reasons that water walls have become so popular in homes – they appeal to us on both a technological level, as well as an artful level.

What are Water Walls?

To put it simply, water walls are the mixture of water and art. In other words, the water does what it supposed to do, fall via gravity from one point to another, while the art is supposed to supply the aesthetic appeal. How this works is that water falls over an already created piece of artwork (this can be anything, depending on an individuals preference).

One of the main reasons people buy and use water walls is again because of Feng Shui philosophy. This philosophy is very much one that depends on water. It believes in water as our natural source of ‘salvation’. It believes in the following:

Wealth and Prosperity: In many cultures water is considered a symbol of wealth. To put it another way, if you are a person who embraces water both with a personal connection as well as one that goes beyond the personal, then you will be a person who will be happier compared to someone who doesn’t embrace it. Water walls are good way to bring this symbolism into your life.
